TBI Voices has recently published another interview that details the challenges encountered by a woman who survived a traumatic brain injury with regards to romance and marriage.

Lori begins by describing her feelings of confusion as she reconnects with her boyfriend after suffering her traumatic brain injury.
The interview goes on to show how Lori learned over time to trust her boyfriend, who eventually became her fiancée and her husband. Lori also describes her feelings as she prepared for her wedding, telling the interviewer that her fiancée had to help with the planning of it so that the details regarding the ceremony could be properly organized and handled.
Ultimately, Lori talks about her anxiety with regards to being able to 'walk like a girl' down the aisle in her wedding dress, as walking was a motor skill that she had to work hard to recover so that she could present herself in a way she thought proper for such an important day. Finally, Lori describes all of the help she received from family and friends as she went through the marriage process, including help at the ceremony.
